This Forms section introduces you to the features of some of the screens you see in the Animal Control system. This items on this page are grouped by the menu used to access the form.
Animal Control Menu
- Animals: Allows you to keep
track of all of the dogs, and other animals if needed, that live, or stay for extended periods, in the municipality.
- Animal Charges: A simple
form that allows you to enter the various charges if you are not using a Rate Schedule.
- Areas:
Tracks the different areas of the municipality for the walking report.
- Assign Areas:
This allows you to specify the area to which each streets belongs.
- Kennels:
Use this form to keep track of kennels in your municipality.
Administration Menu
- Purge Animal Records: Eventually, dog tags that have not been renewed in several years are no longer required. This form lets you get
rid of a single year of data. For example, you could delete all dogs that have a Tag year of 1999. Keep in mind though that you should delete the oldest years first. Deleting 1996-1999 data is fine as long as
there is no data before that.
- Change Breed and Locations:
These are actually two forms that work identically to clean up the breed and the location data.
- Roll Animal Count: This report is available here for all rolls and is also available from the Animal and
New Animal forms for a single roll. This was created for municipalities that have a bylaw that sets the maximum limit on the number of dogs at a single household.
