The Account Short List form lets you create shortcuts to accounts for use on the Receipt Entry's General Tab.
This form shows the shortcuts that have been created. Each account can have a shortcut assigned to it. The shortcuts are between 1 and 3 characters in length. The
only shortcut that cannot be used is 999. All accounts start with a shortcut of 999, so only accounts that have a shortcut other than 999 will show in the list. Other than the
yellow fields that contain information pulled directly from the Chart of Accounts, there is also an Amount field. That is the Default amount. If you put a dollar value into that
field, then when you choose that shortcut from the list on the General Receipts tab, this amount will be put onto the receipt for you. This is useful for sales of things like blue boxes that have a set price.
To add a new account to the shortlist, select the account from the pull down box along the bottom. Its shortcut will be changed from 999 to 000, so it will appear in the list.
You can then change the code from 000 to a more meaningful code like BB for blue box. |
